Rather than just a photographer, I like to consider myself as more of a contemporary visual storyteller, someone who can capture and share your personal tale. I love light and to find the light that flatters you. I love meeting people, working with you, laughing with you, watching you find your inner beauty, and capturing it in a tangible way for you to reflect on, cherish and enjoy. I have found that I thrive on the fast pace that comes with every wedding, and I really enjoy finding a connection with you. I love that I get constant reminders to love and cherish my own husband (what a bonus, right?). I love discovering the details that you have tirelessly put together and finding creative ways to capture them. I really, really love what I do. I am lucky, indeed.
The ability to bring out the best in someone is a gift and a privilege that I do not take for granted. I give a little piece of me with each and every piece of art I create. It is a good thing I get way more in return.
And so my philosophy is this: I am passionate and dedicated to documenting the love you share; with your spouse, your children, and your friends and family. I am here to create images for you that make you smile and pause. Or to bring you back to a very special time in your life. Whether it is your wedding day, your child’s first steps or the last portrait before they head off into adulthood, these moments both subtle and significant are worth capturing and preserving, for these are the things that matter.
I am lucky enough to get to work with my best friend, who also happens to be my wife and business partner. With a background in art and design, I bring a skill set to AWP which compliments Alison’s in ways we never imagined before we joined forces.
As Alison’s assistant, a job which has me doing such diverse things as anticipating her needs, lighting, organizing family shots, and taking photographs, I share her passion for getting the best possible images and presenting them artfully as an enduring celebration of your love, friends, or family.
In addition to working with Alison, I pursue an art career at Timothy White Studio. You can see some of that work by clicking here.
